Two independent assessment reports support the benefit.

The system’s part
Not isolated. Euro NCAP tested the car with the system switched on, so the scores describe the system's own responses on the track. There was no run without the system for comparison. Euro NCAP mentions camera and radar inputs but does not describe AI or show that the system learns from data.

Reported configuration

XPO v5.2.5_Beta (software version tested)

Workflow

The car combines map-based speed limit information with real-time camera inputs. The car checks that the driver's hands stay on the wheel and locks out the system after repeated warnings. The driver monitoring system detects fatigue.

Follow-up

Conditions for replication

The driver monitors the system's control of speed, braking and steering at all times. The driver stays responsive, since the car makes no controlled stop in its lane for an unresponsive driver.

Sector

Road vehicle crash avoidance / assisted driving.

Purpose
