"account": "On 18 July 2023 the HelioLinc3D linking algorithm identified an unrecognized near-Earth asteroid, 2022 SF289. It was a test on archival data from the NASA-funded ATLAS survey operated by the University of Hawaii (UH). HelioLinc3D was developed by Ari Heinze and colleagues at the University of Washington's (UW) DiRAC Institute for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. ATLAS had first imaged the object on 19 September 2022 and observed it three times across four nights. Conventional discovery requires more same-night detections. The Minor Planet Center (MPC) published the object in MPEC 2023-O26, issued 18 July 2023. It is an Apollo-type potentially hazardous asteroid about 600 feet across with an Earth MOID of 0.0015 AU and no foreseeable risk to Earth. The sources call HelioLinc3D an algorithm, not a learned model.",

The sources call HelioLinc3D an algorithm, not a learned model."
