"account": "The report's abstract describes a six-month-old infant with a history of painful extremity contractures. Its case presentation opens with a four-month-old girl referred to the pediatric emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was referred for failure to thrive with abdominal distension and global developmental delay. The paper dates her abnormal neurological development to two months of age. It included bilateral upper-extremity hypotonia, a weak palmar grasp, pain with all passive and active extremity movement and bilateral contractures. A bleeding, ulcerated infantile hemangioma in the center of the neck was managed from three months of age. The diminishing appetite and abdominal distension were noted at four months. Rapid whole-genome sequencing at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine used the Fabric GEM artificial-intelligence analysis tool with Phevor re-ranking. The sample was shipped on 5 January 2023 and preliminary results were returned on 10 January 2023. GEM scored a homozygous ANTXR2 variant, c.652T>C (p.Cys218Arg), at 4.7. That gave a diagnosis of infantile hyaline fibromatosis syndrome. A multidisciplinary meeting held the same day conveyed the implications, coordinated gastrostomy tube placement and discussed long-term goals. Treating clinicians reported the case in Cureus on 9 June 2024.",

Treating clinicians reported the case in Cureus on 9 June 2024."
