"account": "PAWS (Protection Assistant for Wildlife Security) is a machine-learning pipeline that predicts poaching risk and plans patrols. It was field-tested with WWF Cambodia and Ministry of Environment rangers in Srepok Wildlife Sanctuary, Cambodia, from December 2018. Only the month is given, so the first day is used. Rangers received center coordinates of fifteen 3 x 3 km blocks chosen from PAWS risk predictions, without being told each block's risk class. In the first month, 72 rangers in teams of eight detected poaching in 32 cells and removed over one thousand snares. They had reported removing two or three hundred in an average month. Low-risk blocks yielded no poaching. A second trial ran February to March 2019.",

Rangers received center coordinates of fifteen 3 x 3 km blocks chosen from PAWS risk predictions, without being told each block's risk class.
