"account": "On 18 June 2020 a 26-year-old woman working 12-hour days in a multinational company's quality control department in South Korea experienced severe palpitations for hours. Her Samsung Galaxy Fit (SM-R370), which measures pulse by photoplethysmography, recorded a peak resting pulse rate of 188 bpm. The next day, 19 June 2020, a routine health-examination 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) was taken while she was asymptomatic. It showed a shortened PR interval and delta waves, establishing Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. The authors are from the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital. They recommended electrophysiology study based on the ECG, her symptoms and the pulse records from the band. Electrophysiology study and radiofrequency catheter ablation of the bypass tract followed on 29 June 2020 at the authors' hospital. After discharge she monitored for recurrence with a smartwatch. The case was reported in Annals of Occupational and Environmental Medicine on 24 March 2021. A 2024 report describes a Galaxy Watch 4 ECG capturing polymorphic ventricular tachycardia that led to a vasospastic angina diagnosis.",

A 2024 report describes a Galaxy Watch 4 ECG capturing polymorphic ventricular tachycardia that led to a vasospastic angina diagnosis."
